MUN Simulation: UN commission on status of women
Friday, April 17th, 2015. 10:00 - 18:00
Over the past years, with secondary education enrolments increasing, the access of women to higher education has improved significantly. However, progress is still possible, notably their participation in fields such as science and technology. In contrast, the presence of a critical mass of women in the decision-making process remains vastly in existent. Also, a number of cultural barriers still exist, which seriously threatens their development as citizens and professionals. Therefore, delegates are welcome to share their countries approach to this issue as well as come up with a structural response towards improving women’s higher education even further.
All simulations are open both to public to observe and to participate. If you would like to participate as a delegate please send an email to modelun@ufgbg.se and you will be assigned a country.
The simulation will take place in room E202
