Introductory week is here!
Hey everyone!
Since a new board has been elected, we thought it would be nice to introduce us a little more to you and bring our team a bit closer, through some Q and A. We will present each member on daily basis on UF’s page so stay tuned!
Let’s start our introductory week, with our beloved leader!
Meet the President, Marigona Goxhuli!
PR: Please introduce yourself a little bit:
Marigona: My name is Marigona, I’m 19 years old and currently in my second year of law school. In my free time I like to play the piano, guitar and sing. If I am not studying or working, I’m probably watching korean dramas and blasting k-pop through my speakers!
PR: What made you join the UF?
Marigona: I’ve always had a huge interest in international affairs. I came across the association when I was searching for MUN:s in Gothenburg. When I saw that UF had a MUN-committee it immediately drew me in.
PR: What according to you is the most current problem facing the word and what do you think is a suitable solution?
Marigona: I believe that the lack of knowledge is really hindering us as a society to move forward. The lack of knowledge and ignorance among the people leads to extremist views, even going so far as to not believing facts. I think a solution for this is to really urge everyone to be very wary of what they read online. If you are unsure of an issue, research it and form your own opinion instead of just blindly trusting one article or one person.
PR: What are your thoughts on the environmental issues?
Marigona: I think it’s hard to make a quick change since a lot of people don’t really want to change their lifestyles. However, one person makes a huge difference when it comes to the impact on the environment. It worries me that we have politicians that deny global warming even though we have more than enough evidence that it is an actual issue, and an urgent one at that.
PR: If you were to meet a genie, what two wishes would you wish for? For the world and personally.
Marigona: For the world: I would wish for equality between the genders and education for all.
Personally: I would wish for a successful career and good health for everyone around me.
PR: Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
Marigona: I see myself working at an embassy somewhere in the world. Maybe I’ll be working as a lawyer, who knows what the future holds!
PR: What is your hobby?
Marigona: I enjoy playing the piano and singing. I also really like playing and watching football (Barca fan since ’06) as well as watching UFC.
PR: What is your favorite movie?
Marigona: Call me by your name. Or Mulan. Honestly it changes all the time!
PR: And finally Star Wars, Lord of The rings or Harry Potter?
Marigona: Lord of The Rings all day errday!
