Lecture with the Swedish Ambassador to Nigeria

On February 8th, UF Gothenburg welcomed to a lecture with Carl-Michael Gräns, Sweden’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, and Ecowas. The lecture dealt with what the situation looks like in Nigeria and what challenges the country faces, like Boko Haram’s presence, especially in the northeastern parts of the country. Boko Haram is an armed jihadist group that has taken on many of the kidnappings of schoolgirls reported in recent years. As ambassador on-site, Carl-Michael provided an update on the situation and what needs to be done in the future.
