Lecture with Edmé Dominguez on Mexico


During the lecture, Edmé talkëd about how the new NAFTA (UMCA) agreement, the constant violence-crime, the process of criminalizing abortion, the migration to the United States through Mexico and not least the controversial president is polarizing the country more than ever.

The lecturer Edmé Domínguez is an Associate Professor in Peace and Development Studies at the School of Global Studies, at Gothenburg University. Her fields are international Relations with a Ph.D. in Political Science that specialize in Soviet Union-Eastern Europe related questions. Since the beginning of the 1990s her work and publications have focused on Regionalism in the cases of NAFTA and Mexico, and on gender issues related to citizenship, labour organizing, transnational activism, gender consequences of free trade agreements, and international political economy.
