Open Positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Co-Head of Public Relations, Co-Head of Travel, Co-Head of Lecture, Co-Head of Social, Co-Head of Model United Nations, Co-Head of Nomination, Editor-in-Chief (Utblick Magazine), Head of Podcast (The Global Inn)

President (1 position): Do you possess ambition, diligence, and excellent organisational skills? Have you always aspired to lead with integrity, motivate individuals towards shared objectives, and cultivate a spirit of togetherness? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Overseeing all activities and operations. Representing the organisation internally and externally.

Vice President (1 position): Looking for a challenging role that requires excellent organisational skills, strong communication ability, and a confident and goal-oriented problem solver? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Working alongside the President, sharing responsibilities, and overseeing the organisation. Coordinating between committees.

Secretary (1 position): Are you detail-oriented, great at keeping things organised, and proficient in communication? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Managing administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and maintaining records.

Treasurer (1 position): Are you organised and responsible? Do you know how to manage finances accurately and precisely? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Approving our organisations’ financial transactions. Maintaining records and providing funding updates. Discussing and planning budgets with various committees.

Co-Head of PR (2 positions): Are you highly organised, creative, and capable of managing public relations effectively? Would you describe yourself as flexible? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Managing our website and social media presence. Developing engaging content for our communication channels. Working closely together with all other committees.

Co-Head of Travel (2 positions): Are you organised, detail-oriented, and interested in travel? Would you describe yourself as responsible? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Organising trips within Sweden and abroad to destinations of political, cultural, and academic interest. Managing logistics like transport and accommodation. Creating memorable experiences for our members.

Co-Head of Lecture (1 position): Are you interested in foreign affairs? Would you describe yourself as responsible, proactive, and well-organised? Do you enjoy networking with experts? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Reaching out to experts and organising insightful lectures for our members.

Co-Head of Social (2 positions): Are you a friendly, proactive, and sociable person with excellent organisational skills? Do you enjoy bringing people together? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Planning and organising various social activities and events for our members. Making sure our events are fun and in line with our budget.

Co-Head of MUN (1 position): Are you fascinated by international relations and diplomacy? Are you interested in the workings of UN? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Leading our MUN team. Planning and organising workshops, debates, and social events. Coordinating participation in external MUN conferences. Helping members sharpen their skills in diplomacy and public speaking.

Co-Head of Nomination (2 positions): Are you interested in HR, responsible, and well-organised? Do you have excellent communication skills? Do you want to help shape the future of our organisation? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Overseeing the annual election process, conducting interviews, and evaluating candidates’ suitability for various roles.

Editor-in-Chief Utblick Magazine (1 position): Are you passionate about writing, editing, and publishing? Are you interested in international affairs? Are you hard-working, responsible, and organised? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Overseeing the production and ensuring that Utblick Magazine’s content is of exceptional quality. Leading and coordinating a team of writers, editors, and illustrators. Editing and approving articles.

Head of Podcast The Global Inn (1 position): Are you a creative team player who is passionate about producing podcast episodes? Are you full of ideas and love storytelling? Then this is the position for you! Main Tasks: Leading a team of aspiring journalists as the producer of our podcast “The Global Inn”. Planning and producing engaging episodes. Reaching out to guest speakers.

Application Process:

Step 1: Fill in the application form for the position that you’re interested in (deadline: 13 May).

Step 2: After the application period closes, suitable candidates will be contacted to schedule a short Zoom interview.

Step 3: If you’re nominated, you will receive an invitation to come to our electoral meeting.

Step 4: At the electoral meeting, the nomination committee will make a case for you and the Board will vote.

Step 5: Welcome to the Board!

Good to Know:

• Handover documents will be available for all positions.
• The PR, Social, Lecture, Travel, Nomination, and MUN committee are all (ideally) managed by 2 Co-Heads. Where only 1 position is advertised for these, the other one is already occupied by a current Board Member. You will work together with them.
• Your presence (in person or on Zoom) at the electoral meeting (27 May) is REQUIRED in order for you to join the Board.
