As stated in § 2.1 of the bylaws, UF Gothenburg’s mission is to promote a deeper understanding of global cultures, political systems, and international relations. This goal is pursued through seminars, lectures, media production and other activities (§ 2.2), ensuring diverse perspectives are brought to the forefront of discussions. UF Gothenburg’s core values are rooted in a firm belief in democracy, human rights, and the equal worth of all individuals (§ 2.3). Additionally, the association is committed to gender equality in all aspects of its activities (§ 2.4).
Beyond these foundational principles, we aspire to promote critical thinking and encourage fact-based discussions and intellectual curiosity. The association is dedicated to inclusivity, diversity, and ensuring all voices are heard and respected. As a non-partisan organization, UF Gothenburg maintains objectivity and neutrality, providing a forum for open debate without political bias. The association further recognises its responsibility to promote sustainability and transparency in all operations.
