Online Lecture: Getting a seat at the UN’s Security Council

Ann-Marie Ekengren, Professor in Political Science at the University of Gothenburg, presents empirical findings from her research project The Quest for Power in International Politics: Campaigns by and Selection of Non-Permanent Members to the United Nations Security Council.
In her presentation she will discuss why states want a seat in the Security Council, how they campaign for a seat and what accounts for a successful campaign.
