Thursday, October 29th, 2015

The Society of International Affairs Gothenburg presents the trip of the semester, and the destination is…Tbilisi, Georgia!

Known as the heart of South Caucasus – the stunning nature, hospitable people and mixture between old and new, makes this country a highly interesting travel destination!

We will focus on the current political climate in Georgia and its steps towards modernization and the EU after the breakdown of the Soviet Union. We will also be looking into the strained relations with Russia after the war 2008, as well as the progressive fight against corruption.

We will meet with different organizations and NGO:s, in order to see different aspects regarding the situation, as well as getting to know the city and its beautiful sorroundings! If you feel like you have knowledge regarding this, a great interest, or you just think it sounds like a fun experience and would like to learn more, please don’t hesitate and apply now! 12 people will be offered a spot and together we will take part in planning the different aspects of the trip.

We will spend approximately 5-6 days in Tbilisi. The participation fee will be around 3000 SEK including flights, accommodation and of course an unforgettable experience! Send your application to event@ufgbg.se including;
